'81 Kadett D from Portugal

Hi!

My name is Bruno, I have 27 years old and I'm from Portugal. I was looking a thread to introduce myself but didn't find it, so I had the freedom to introduce in this thread

I had a Kadett D, where it is


It's an 5 door Opel Kadett D from 1981, Berlina version with 1.3S OHC engine and 4 speed gearbox. Interiors all in black.
It have been my first car and I love it


This is when I've bought it, back in Feb 2002






Then I've decided to give it a new look, and it goes like this








Smoothed rear with 3rd stop light, smoothed rear doors, 14' Vectra A wheels with 185/55 tyres, rear lights painted in red, white front repeaters, 60 mm lowered, Corsa A mirrors, 5 speed F15 CR gearbox and so on.


Then the engine was fully repared, with some goodies, a gift from my mecanic













And because I think he deserve some cool wheels I've bought this:



9x16 Brock B6



For now the car is stoped, I'm looking for some material, but in a near future the project will star again. I'll keep you in touch.

Its great to see the Kadett is loved in portugal too.

Is it the original motor were you spend the work and money for?
If yes its great ;-)

Thanks for the welcome and the positive feedback. I'm trying to get some information in the forum, in german it's a little bit hard but nothing than Google whouldn't solve.

Unfornatly in Portugal isn't very normal to tune Kadett's, only Corsa's, but there are a few in nice condition

Yes, it's the original 1.3 OHC motor

New seats, Recaro's from Lancia Delta Integralle





And the wheel test in a D I've bought for spares
A few work to be done to fit them in

After a 3 years stop, he's back on the road
